I mean, it's one of the things I alway think about: how can I reach more people, how can I build up my subscriber base - and how can I do it in a way that doesn't cost much and that doesn't lower the quality of my subscriber list, more specifically the open rate. So thanks for the writeup!
Of note: this strategy would work even better if you can replace paid-ad with organic growth. Then your spend is $0 and you still make money from Sparkloop.
Paid growth is an accelerant. It's MUCH easier to scale than organic. For organic you must be creative again and again and again. With paid.... you just spend more.
yes, agree. but I do find Substack a bit limited in that regard, as they have their own reommendation system, which doesn't offer a paid slot. For whatever reason. And pushing people against a landingpage and have them convert there without a snapshot of the content didn't work that well for me. But I might play around it some more when I find the time :)
Great idea. Thanks Ant
No problem, hope you find it useful.
thanks for the insights! great stuff!
Thanks Nico, glad you liked it.

Fascinating. Also — I feel like you managed to cram a whole email newsletter course into a single blog post. Saved me a few bucks :P
hah! Well you're welcome.
